Trident have Plamen Kralev and Kevin Chen, that is just a waste of two GP2 cars.

Where is Mariano Werner here? It seems that all announcements on Argie press about his GP2 test were a bluff.

May be he's using the kerbs now :P He said he was afraid of using kerbs, though it doesn't explain why he drivers 2 metres from the apex... Trident must have huge debts! Felix da Costa is amazing, 5th on his debut with ORT! The results are quite strange all in all. Btw, Leimer has had tech and setup issues, the test was his prize for winning FM this year.

What sort of lap time would an IRL car do around Paul Ricard? I've always been interested to see how it would compare with a GP2 car. GP2 aren't far off F1 pace, so would they be quicker than IRL's?

Now take a very deep breath.
Trident have offered Main Series contract to Kralev according to his PR article! Now Teixeira or Chen? This would rival Senna-Prost! |

This would be terrible and based on his ability shouldn't be permitted to happen by the authorities!! |

Why not? He pays that bill, if they need money, why not? IMO he won't do many silly, rookish mistakes, coz he's older, and probably more mature. Ofc he's not got a lot of experience, but on his last day of testing he was very far of the pace.
Yeah I thin they need money... One should ask why required budgets for GP2 are so sky high?! |

It's a difficult one. I'm not sure if I would rather a team disappear through lack of cash (like Durango possibly) or have a team barely survive because they have a rubbish pay driver(s).
We've already seen in the GP2 Asia race that Kralev is a bit a liability. He badly held up Valsecchi around the pit stop window didn't he? Last edited by chunterer; 14 Nov 2009 at 17:30. |

from italiaracing magazine
To such purpose, the voices that circulate in the paddock do not indicate will of the GP2 to order a model of completely new single-seater for 2011. Considering the economic crisis, it will prefer to install on puts into effect them cars of the Main Series a kit of modernization. |

So does anyone want to post a little list of who goes where for 2010 as things stand?
Cheers |

So far only Bianchi(ART),Turvey(Isport), and Clos( RE) are signed.
Without guessing , taking in mind only things i have read in press: Sergio Perez to Barwa Addax, possibly alongside Garde. Isport to continue with Valsecchi in Asia, but in main ... I saw article saying that renault closes RDD , will Davide find budget for 2010 without them? Pastor Maldonado said that one team keeping seat for him in case f1 deal wont work out . My guess its ART ( because Todt is still his manager) or returning to Piquet Gp ( by the way , Valerio said in his twitter that they will change the name once again). Zuber 100% leaving gp2 - confirmed ( Also couldnt find 8 millions for F1). Kobayashi,Petrov and Parente wont return to gp2 either . Villa and Rodriguez will stay ( my guess with Super Nova and Racing Engineering). Ambrosio still seeking budget for top-team. About new guys , Rossi,Cecotto jr, Guttierez may enter gp3 next season , but who knows. |

Javier Villa to stay on?! He already holds the record for the biggest number of race starts in GP2! And that is discounting his Asia campaign last year.

Yes , but he is only 22 years old.
I think its better judge on ages rather than on how many seasons in gp2 driver has been. My thinking work so , Villa 22 years, Mortara 22 years. Equal rights to be in gp2. And not Mortara has driven one season while Villa four so Javier must leave gp2. |

Clos is signed with RE? I must have missed that...
I'm sure Luiz Razia will return to GP2, and for the new guys, Ericsson, Bird and Pic have done a lot of testing, as well as James Jakes with Super Nova. Personally I hope that Fabio Leimer will get a good seat. |

I hope Will Bratt will stay on at Coloni, he has more or less been amongst the top 6 fastest on GP2 tests, despite seeming to be an underated driver. He beat some decent drivers in Euroseries 3000 this year. And he has had more time in the car now so hopefully he will have a better performance next time out at Abu Dhabi.

Parente not staying on is a shame, unless he pulls an F1 rabbit out of a hat (highly doubtful) - I've always been a fan of Alvaro, he's a quick driver but he just lacks a bit of consistency. Where does he go from here?

Giedo van der Garde joins Barwa Addax for the 2010 main series
If he can carry over his late-season form from this year into next then you would have to consider him a good bet for the title. And if all the rumours are to be believed, it looks like either Sergio Perez or Luiz Razia will be his team-mate in 2010. |
