I find it almost impossible to believe that Holden will allow teams to run ZB V8s next year.
After the big push from Holden to introduce the V6TT, as if they are going to run the risk of being beaten by an 'old' V8 model that they're getting away from? You are also highly unlikely to see any Camaro's going up against another GM product while ever Holden are officially in the series |

About 3 seconds off the pace at QR from memory. TA2 is a different deal though - designed as a more relaxed class for dudes who want to enjoy themselves rather than compete for sheep stations. |

4 door family sedans or 5 door family hatchbacks with V8, V6tt or 4cyl tts
No sportscars. Family cars like most people buy. Mondeo, Commodore, Maxima, Stinger, Genesis, M3, E63, S60 etc etc Mustang/Camaro is a mistake |

Why does it create a credibility gap? I'm lost on that. A falcon is already quicker than a carrera cup and does similar times to a lambo GT3? Credibility in that way is not an issue as we know they are modified are then paritised |

Hmm..
But they are Holdens (Chevrolets) and Fords and they are actually V8s. I'm not sure racing Vectras (Commodores), Maximas (Altimas) and Mondeos that bare no resemble to the real car whatsoever apart from the headlights and grill is preferable. |

Road car relevance means nothing anymore. Engaging, compelling, dramatic and exciting racing is what is needed.
Open eligibility up big time, doesn't really matter what type of car they are provided they tick all the above boxes as well as looking and sounding great on track. Doesn't really matter what you do, but it needs to be a true parity series - this is where all the problems are coming from! |

Very few care about its relevance, those that do can support other categories that have relevance and probably need to let go of the past as well F1 has no road car relevance buts its the biggest show in town |

Bring on the Camaro/Mustang/GTR. If the manufacturers aren't interested then there should be a way for teams to be able to enter these cars independently and drum up some more excitement in the championship. |

Camaro isn't happening unless HSV want to fund it, with Holden's permission. If that were to happen, it would run the V6 that Holden just paid to develop, not the V8.

there is no requirement in touring Cars that they have road going relevance. F1 proves that road going relevance is not important to motorsport fans, As does NASCAR and drag racing and speedway As Leo said, to take it back into context Engaging, compelling, dramatic and exciting racing is what is needed. If you think it needs some relevance, then all the relevane that is needed in Supercars and ATCC is this Last edited by peckstar; 1 Apr 2018 at 21:11. |
