How's this for oversteer! Great photo.

Moderators note from TimD:

Forum member Fred Scatley died on December 27, 2002. He was a remarkable photographer, and a respected and liked member of our forum community.

Several people have asked that a thread of his photographic work be set aside as a tribute to him, and so we have gathered as many examples as we could find among the posts on the forum.

If you know of any more, and would like to share them in this thread, please feel free to do so.

60's Club Racers

As mentioned in another thread John Brittan Etc, how about Allen Woode his self prepared car was a match for the rest and at one time he held a number of circuit class records.
Here he is on the front row at Snett in the late sixties

Great photo. That looks like John Quick on pole with Rod Longtons Red TVR Grantura behind Woode's Sprite. Not sure about the other E-Type, Peter Archer perhaps, any ideas?
Great days watching from on top of the pits at Snett.
How about this one of Peter Gaydon in lotus 23B in '66 versus Willie Green's Ginetta G12 at Silverstone.

I suggest that Fred Scatley's Graham Hill picture is from the 1969 Race of Champions and the Rindt picture is from the 1970 version of the same race.

That's the boy Think the photo is the entry to Druids with Post 5 in the background. Cannot recognise any of the marshals (including myself).

Looking at programmes, I would say that's possibly March 6th 1966, for the BRSCC Edward Lewis Trophy. I think Anglia 171 is P de Banks, and Mini 186 is BT Cox. If I'm right, Brian Muir, Gerry Marshall, Ken Costello, Pat Mannion and John Rhodes will have been in that race somewhere.

As Yimkin has been mentioned I thought I would post a picture of my Austin Seven that was modified by Yimkin in 1961 Polished head and valves Sprite cam and Distributer no damper in SU and lighter carb spring, The firm was called Gordon and Glynn, in Codagan Plce London. There was a Yimkin club car and I think a FJ. I did a few hillclimbs and autocross with my Mini
