When I was just a lad I remember Jim Clark 2Wheeling his Lotus Cortina round cascades in pursuit of three Galaxies. Whitmore, Hill and Sears I think. Or maybe Bailley? There were certainly no Mustangs in those days.

most of it will be ok, but after the banked hairpin the chicane (Foulstons?) is very tight . . . if minis can loose it through there then a Galaxy will struggle, there's certainly little opportunity to overtake an aircraft carrier except brave outbraking into Kickerbrook or possibly into Lodge up the inside

I did this at Magny Cours and it was fine, until they cancelled all my qualifying times and gave my hand a slap!

I've seen Galaxies negotiate the even tighter Shaw's Corner at Mallory, so I am sure they will cope.

Am looking forward to commentating on a HSCC meeting for the first time ('07 WHT excepted) on the Sunday.

Oulton Park Gold Cup

Me and Alan Morgan are very excited as we have are largest grid ever of Historic FF2000. 31 to date but still room for one more.As for team Delta we are running the Star Ship Enterprise in Saloons and the Saloon car 1 hour race. Going to be interesting finding braking points for the Galaxie then on Monday should still be flat in the Delta before thinking of braking at the same place.Look forward to a trouble free meeting.

My Dad used to take me and my brother to watch Clark racing at Oulton; later he became the architect for the circuit and built the first scrut bay (now where the assembly area is). We even have 8mm movie of my brother shaking Clark by the hand (ahh, sweet)
