If this happens, I wonder if it will affect the Jack Daniels sponsorship of the drag racing team. Or could there be synergy there?

I would almost go the same night, for safetys sake..

The cars should look good in the Jack daniels colours, the drag cars are easily the best looking cars in that sport.

I wonder how this might affect Jack Daniels involvement in drag racing - are they shifting cash from one category to another, or is there more to go around?

OK, so LP and BPB can race a V8 VZ at EC with JD.

Must say I just can't picture Steven Richards as the ideal spokesman for the sponsor's product. Not unless he grows some tatts and an orange mohawk...

Do you think TEGA would approve the aero????

Brett Stevens' JD supported drag racing "Superteam" is to receive support from Ford this year to go head to head with the Bray's and their Chevs/Holdens, particularly in Top Doorslammer.

Not really a great synergy in then sponsoring a Holden V8SC team.... although it would show the fans of both marques that JD is unbiased and hence double their potential market ?

Castrol sponsored Larry & the Brays for years, there's nothing to say JDs wont do the same, also with Ford coming on board with Stevens he mightn't need so much money from Jack anymore so they can spend elsewhere.

Can't say the team really matches JDs image but I guess a lot of his fans would.

Given the current boom in the alcohol market, and a seemingly good fit between the demographic that watch V8 Supercars, and consumers that purchase alcohol products, i am suprised that there arent as many Alcohol related sponsors in V8 Supercars.

However, there is a stigma between Alcohol Sponsorship and Motor Racing, with some idiots in society claiming that it helps to encourage drink driving activities.

Im sure a red smirnoff logo on a HRT car would go alrite. Or with the DJR plain blue paint scheme, maybe a Tooheys New logo down the side would be sufficient.

Having said that, i work in the Liquor industry, and the margins are dimishing. Most retailers have to make losses on beer products to get customers into the store, and the intensified competition in regards to wine has also decreased profits there.

However i have been noticing more bottles of Jack being sold lately

Is not the Jack Daniels drag team going to be running a BA Falcon drag car in 06, so I can not see the two joining together as Larry hates the blue oval ( even though he drove on at Bathurst in 95)
