Why do they insist on putting the names and numbers over the NACA ducts?

As you can see from the image, they're pointing in opposite directions.

One is a vent (out), and the other is a duct (in).

There is some theory, which dates back to pre-aero super touring days, and probably further back still, that some science applied to gaps in the sides of the glasshouse can alter the aerodynamic characteristics of the car.

I have some vague memory that a 888 car was penalised for taping up those side ducts a few years back

Last year, it was CL in one of the top ten shootout, I think it was at Tassie but not sure

They have slots cut in the lexan windows to aid emergency removal. These slots were taped off for whatever reason.

Jack LB then? He's not at PRA next year or Shae Davies had a good stint at Erebus both have good backing as well
