Dixie is on a mission. Not his year, but hope it's his race. He needs a break.

Wow. That's the end of Power's race as he makes contact with Kimball and goes off in spectacular fashion. That's a huge dent to his championship bid. 3rd FCY.

Yeah, that was ugly and could've been worse. Bit of a squeeze from Will and slightly ambitious from Charlie. Everyone else has given each other room in that location all race, but these two couldn't do it this time.

Last 10 laps should be fun with splash and dash or coasting and praying.

Quite a bit of fuel saving going on.

Pagenaud seems to be saving too, while Chilton and Kimball are not.

Ok, I'm usually one of the defenders of pushing for fuel economy in racing and how interesting the tech can be to force them to go further with less; but 6 seconds a lap to make it possibly without a stop, IF there's a caution, is just nuts.

Sato has that inner loop by the throat all weekend, he threw the car in against Munoz and made it stick.
And now he looks like a fool in the boot. Oops |

Congrats to Dixon, brilliantly driven. Good drive by Newgarden. Unless Dixon wins at Sonoma, this could be the last time a Ganassi car in the Target livery, wins a race.

Someone give Hinch a set of oars. Or the old school ride back in to the pits. What's the penalty for that now?
And tech needs to check Dixon's chin for a fuel tank, always seems to have more than the field. |

My 6 year old is stoked. Target win two weekends in a row! (Larson won in another series)
Yeah, the Mayor ride, while comical, just doesn't sit right with me these days, but that's okay.... And is it just me or did the last 1/2 of that race fly by? After the 3rd caution. Good stuff and good for Dixon. 4 of 5 at The Glen? Ownership. Class act from Scott re Wilson. |

Kimball involved in two incidents, both seemingly "racing incidents". Rahal appeared to drift wide into Kimball but I feel Charlie was a bit to blame for the Power crash. A bit of patience would have been OK. But I am an Aussie so perhaps I am biased. If only WP had not missed St Pete?

I don't know, it seemed more like Kimball just drove into the back of Power because he didn't want to lift off. I wouldn't have said that he was far alongside at all and was a bit annoyed that he got a decent finish out of it.
Great race though, but would be nice if there were a few more tyres in front of some of the barriers, particularly the corner where Aleshin's tyre exploded. Hope that Power is better in time for the next race, he's been driving really well this year but his health just hasn't gone his way. |
