Erki has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Starting out in single seaters

I see many of more or less successful drivers have started out in single seaters. Is it because they all wanted to go to Formula 1? I just read that it's better to learn the car set-up on a single seater. Is that true?

kickstart should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I imagine that nearly all drivers starting out at 16/17 etc fancy getting into F1.
As regards learning to set up a car, it is always going to be a little easier in a single seater compared to say a saloon, for a few reasons even on a cheap FF1600 the set up can be fully adjusted whereas on a very cheap saloon there will not be as much to adjust and single seaters tend to be more sensitive to set up changes compared with a saloon or sportscar.
I always find it interesting that drivers coming for single seaters tend to go quicker in saloons/sportscars that the other way around.
Ultimatley I think that single seaters are a much purer racing car which if mastered will give a driver the ability to go quick in nearly anything.

Have fun
