Wow. I think he will join Super GT since Patrick Van Schoote in 2000 until 2002.

I said 1:55's would be the time to shoot for, high 1:54's are the fastest they have ever went at Sepang.

Autosport magazine reports GT500 salaries.
-Salary of top class GT500 driver: 40-70 million yen (pure racing salary only).
-Series champion: 60-70 million yen.
-Some drivers earn 50 million yen or more.

That's about what I thought they earned for GT500 drivers where the big money is. Do you think anyone would earn 100 million yen a year with racing salary plus other endorsement?

Would anyone know what a pro driver in GT300 might earn considering theres a mix of pro and am drivers unlike in GT500 where it's all pro factory drivers

Yes. There is a rumour that Motoyama had earned 1 billion yen.
About GT300, NOB Taniguchi has earned much more than usual GT500 drivers. He is a very popular driver in Japan.

Big news. Honda lost Fred Mako
Dome announces that it abandons a contract with Fred Mako for SGT.
Dome had an option contract for 2014.
However, Mako requested Dome to cancel the contract by family's intention.
Therefore, Dome waived the right to Mako.

Will Fred Mako move to Nissan or Lexus? If he moves to Nissan, it will be a very good option, because the Nissan looks good.
Or to GT300 class for the R&D Sport team, due to that Tetsuya Yamano announced that he will retire?

Well there we go. Mako to Porsche replacing Lieb. Might we see him in GT300 now and then. Third driver for Suzuka perhaps

There's also one driver who was a test/reserve driver for the former SGT team, Art Taste Team. He's Patrick Pilet.
