starter motor
Hi, is there a preferred starter motor for a historic ff that will work ok with a smallish battery, I do not have room for a reduction type starter bbc

It would help to know what FF you have and what starter is on it at the moment ?

starter
my car has a two bolt starter that fits direct to the adaptor between engine and gearbox. good news is that its a std classic mini inertia starter motor, nice and cheap

If it's got a standard Ford 110 tooth ring gear you should use a 10 tooth pinion, std Mini has a 9 !
