When and Where???
Henry Taylor, 63 Coupe des Alpes?

(Elford was not with Ford in 63 and light arrangement is wrong for 64 RAC GT or 65 RAC Lotus)

Hi Kev, thanks for the info. I've painted more of it since i first posted and added wing mirrors;

The vinyl roof does look a bit lighter in game but i'm thinking of taking it down a few shades more as i seem to remember the roofs being more 'cream' back in the day.

Are you sure about the 'Avon Motor Tour of Britain' door writing being blue? It looks red on the colour pic i have and on the screen grabs i've done. It might be a similar thing to that white/gold or black/blue dress everyone's arguing about on the internet... I've also got a good pic (black and white) taken off a photo on my mates wall so i'll pm you my email address and send them on to you.

Speaking of colour... any idea what the colours were when it was raced in the Britax championship? I'd like to paint that version too if you've any idea

All the best,

Mel

No answer to the Cortina photo question?
It must be 64 or early 65 (white cars in 63 except for RWC202). Possibly Scottish. 890DOO was Taylors car on several events , Elford's tending to be 893. I don't recall any other GP drivers in them (and Elford was only a GP driver later). Melia was using 890 in 65 (Gulf). Of course several different shells carried each of the "89*DOO" numbers.
65 Scottish was the last appearance of works GTs, with the Lotus being homologated with leaf spring rear the same month. Not the RAC, so Scottish or Alpine (the latter having several gravel surface passes then)?

Henry Taylor, 1965 Scottish Rally?
The light arrangement is the same as a photo of Brian Melia on the 65 Gulf London in a car also registered 890DOO (borrowed from Ford for that event and either an ex-Scottish car or a number plate swap). The 65 Scottish was works entries of the last "DOO" GTs - and I don't recall Melia ever driving in F1!

Any chance of the poster of the photo question posting the answer any time soon?
