Although there is racing at Silverstone on Sunday, it is technically a seperate race meeting to Saturday's Britcar proceedings.

Aarghh! My mum decided not to look after my dogs while I went up with my nan because she wanted to go shopping!!
Looks like I will wait for 2nd June to see Britcar this year, yes I do absolutley adore the series! Does any know the full support race list and timetable for the July race at Brands GP. I know of; International Gt Open, Euro F3 Open, Britcar, F2, Formula Ford and Formula Junior keep appearing in my mind too? |

Yeah to me it has the feel of last years Spa Euro Race, F2, F3, GT Open & Britcar... Now just imagine if it also shared the free entry trait!

Well the Azteca Mosler has wrapped up the Class 1 title already! I think Bullrun have done thta in Class 3 too!
Can't wait for the next round at Snetterton. I wrote a race report about the previous round and sent it off to Steve Wood (Press Officer) and he has offered me the chance to shadow him and have a hand in the race reporting for Snetterton. I will even be sitting in the commentary box! |

Stuart, as you are local to us, I hope you will be supporting the two MMC Motorsport entries from Gravesend!
Our BMW E46 will be out to repeat its class podium from the last two years, and it will this year be joined by our newly purchased Seat Supercopa. Feel free to pop in and say hi! Andy |

Is it only the production class that is racing in the dark?

Yes, and the 2 GT races at more of an all comers affair, still should be pretty good though the production class has had some good races.

Any ideas why they've gone that way this year? Usually they have them all running together in the dark - have to say it's the GT stuff that I prefer to see in the dark (if that makes sense!).

2 reasons -
MSA demanded the all drivers in a race with the GTs had a higher level of licence (which wasn't conducive to the club level production drivers) Most of the GT drivers don't like Brands Indy track |

1) Typical MSA - sticking their oar in where it's not needed.
2) But they don't get to run in the dark that often so surely they'd jump at the chance? Odd. It does make it less appealing as a spectator, even though it's dark the GT's are always far more spectacular than the production cars - the racing is less visible but the glowing brakes, licks of flame from the exhausts make it good to watch. The production cars will be less of a spectacle. |
