Paul S355 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Brabham BT-38 Chassis #33

Trying to find information on this car. It is located in the USA and I am interested in purchasing it but have no data to trace back the ownership or history??? It was supposed to be a factory car raced by some well known drivers but I have found nothing to collaborate this. Any help would be appreciated!!!

I think that the 33 is more likely to be the Arch Motors tub number [stamped AM72/33] than it is the chassis number on an MRD plate, as they didn't build that many.
However, there are ways of tracing the history without that number.
Ask the vendor for details of any numbers stamped on the roll hoop, and of any SCCA or ICSCC log books.
This MAY be an F2 car that ended up in USA in 1973/74 but those numbers will give us some indication of that.

I have a FIA number 26508. I cannot access the car to inspect for a chassis plate or frame number. The SCCA Logbook shows number 33 but I believe that is a AM frame number rather then the chassis number from the factory. Trying to sort out the origin of this car, any help is appreciated!!!

The SCCA Log Book from 1974 shows the number 054039 as the logbook number...

Paul

That's NE Oklahoma, and the low number [39] would be about right for a region where few cars made their debuts
If there is a logbook it should have names in it.
Can you get scans?

Also., think I can help you with tracing the chassis number from the AM.
Can you email me on chris[AT]oldracingcars[DOT]com
