botsquad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

FROM ATLAS-F1

Rubens Barrichello said on Thursday that Ferrari's president Luca di Montezemolo had urged him to go all out for victory and not just focus on supporting teammate Michael Schumacher.

Barrichello, winner of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim two weekends ago, said Montezemolo's comments to him contradicted the widely held view that he had been detailed to play a secondary role to the German.

The 28-year-old Brazilian said he had talked to Montezemolo at Ferrari's Fiorano circuit during testing on the Tuesday following the German race.

"He told me to do all I could to do everything for the team and to race to win, but he did not talk to me about racing for Michael in any way," said Barrichello who is now only 10 points behind Schumacher, leader of the drivers' contest.

Di Montezemolo had been reported in Italy saying that he told the Brazilian to race for Schumacher and to support him in his bid to win Ferrari's first drivers' title for 21 years.

............................................................

does anyone really believe this? we shall soon find out.

how good would it be if barrichello did to schumacher what mansell did to piquet in 1986 and 1987 (even though piquet won the title in 87)....would rubens have to let michael pass if they were running 2nd and 3rd on the last lap at hungary?

The only problem here is that Mansell was as good as (if not better at that stage) Piquet. I don't think we can say the same about RB and MS.

We're really talking about MS failing at the first corner and RB qualifying well enough to compete with Macaroon. Not absolutely certain he's capable of doing that.

Besides. What's made Luca change his tune? Doubt it was the screams of "not fair" from the RB fans. I think we should wait and see what this weekend brings.

Ferrari wants to win the WDC after all those years. They have spent a fortune on TGF, and they think that Rubens should help TGF to win. Orders will be given at the appropriate time for Rubens (Elmer Fudd) to pull over and let TGF win. Why are we all pussy footing around this?? This has been made perfectly clear by Luca.

But will he be ordered to get out of his car and give same to TGF when TGF has dumped his car in the wall and rammed DC off the road in his T-car?

Ohh camon now-you all sound like you believe that RB is actually better than MS and the only way in which MS can be ahead of him is thanks to team orders. Not me-I agree with Mr. Mallet on this one. Plus Hungary is very very different from Hockenheim-overtaking is difficult, power doesn't matter that much, and qualifying is important. RB has not shown anything spectacular in qualifying so I bet he'd be behind MS on the grid. And if Schuey makes it this time, RB won't even see his dust...

Does that mean that at Silverstone MS was not in the same class as Rubinho?

Think of it this way: Which were the cars that crashed on the first lap last race? Who are the cars on the front row? What are the chances that the guy in Fifth Place may be through the first corner while the first two rows are trying to ram each other into retirement?

It may be the best position to be in back of the carnage as DC and TGF try to settle who is the bigger prat.

P.S. Did you notice that Luca Ferrari said with his own mouth that he did NOT say Rubens was not allowed to win the WDC and there was no mention of "over my dead body" today? Has he reconsidered or was he misquoted by TGF-Worshippers?

Remember what Julius Caesar said, "He thinks too much - such men are dangerous ... "

In that case, he was right, eh?

Yup... pole at Silverstone and 3rd position at A1 (MS was 4th)...

TWICE!

Out of 12.

MH outqualifies DC only 5 times this year.

The facts speak for themselves.

So I would say that MH and DC are pretty much even, but RB is definitely not in the same league as MS, THIS year.

RB isnt in the same league as MS but next seasoo he may be closer. MS has got to get through the first corner first because i think whoever does that will take the win, barring blowups or punt-offs.
Being on the "clean" side of the grid makes this seem quite likely.

Question: Will Murray award the race to Mika in Lap Two, Lap Three or Lap Four? I don't think Mika has started a single race this year in which Murray has not awarded him the win before the fourth lap has been completed.

Me I hope he stuffs the car at Corner one, along with the two prats in the front row. Then the rest of us can go racing.

Wouldn't it be fun if Ralf took his brother out?? He's done it before, and there is no love lost between the two on the track. One zig, another zag, Ralf darts through the middle, another zig, and POW!!! The brothers discuss the whether on the trackside - like whether who is right and who is wrong. Elmer Fudd may win this yet.

I've always thought Murray doesn't want Mika to win and by 'awarding him the race' he is trying to put a curse on him knowing that whenever he says xxxx is going to win xxxx promptly grinds to a halt on the next lap!
