I am looking forward to it Ron, particulary @ Silverstone with my great mate Andy Robo's Falcon as my Wingman....
Forget about the 'Is it Red or Blue' Let the 'Foster's Boys' take the fight to the 'Emporors of Japan' Before then I will be out testing to try and get a more neutral and faster setup. Going forward on the power front, Peter Knight is doing development work with Jenvey and we are looking at an upgrade in the near future to release another 80-100BHP, to try and lessen the gap on the straights We are also working on a different tyre soap at the tyre fitting place so the front tyres don't break the beading under hard braking and loose 20psi mid race again!!!! Hi RK I know two John Hills both ex racers what one is it, a big fellow or a little guy?
Andy I think I am going to change entry to bring Ol' Bumble out instead as will race the IROC at Brands in Bernies race in June. I think the 74's need the entry more anyhow. And me moan????? Never!! I was gonna go anyhow to Silverstone to watch as the Classic Thunder is just shaping up to a not to be missed event. |

Ah yes John from Belsize Park yes I knew him well. He let me drive the Manta around Goodwood and whereas it wasnt the quickest car I have driven it was truly delightful to drive and very well balanced and set up, he knows his stuff. Dave Hicton who posts here as Ascona recently sold the Manta.

In the case of Classic Thunder that USP is depth of competition. Looks great, and as soon as the Avon lady has dropped off my tyre order I'll be booking a session to scrub them in tomorrow. First outing, so I'll be keeping out of the way as the leaders come through. S. |

Great weekends racing at Silverstone, first raced forced to retire with oil leak 4 laps from the end while in 3rd place. Started last today, finished 4th. Lots of work to be done before Brands on the 2nd/3rd June to try and get on the Falcon/Skylines pace :'0) Some footage from race 1:

Only attended today's racing - but certainly a good meeting - slickly run - finishing ahead of time, and with good clean racing and close dices in every race I watched....I missed the odd one (mainly the Legends) whilst assisting my buddies in the AROC race.
Storming charge thgrough the field in today's race from Joss, but the pace of the Skylines and the Falcon just seemed too much..... in the AROC races I reckon special mention should go to Richard Merrill, who trailered his car all the way down from Inverness for the meeting, had never raced at Silverstone before and because of an ignition problem had to do his basic qualifying laps out of session, so effectively the first lap of the first race was his first real experience of the circuit - yet he came through from the rear of the grid to finish second.......and in the second race started from second and led for about half the race before being displaced by Roz Shaw (who also won the first race) as they passed back-markers...finally finishing second, again Next race he has to travel from Inverness to Brands..... |

was a fantastic race meeting, loved it.
The Alfa boys were a welcome addition and I can't wait to be racing with and see all these cars out again! were still editing the race videos, but heres a clip, showing why you should always say your hail mary's before the start of a race!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N6rn...1&feature=plcp |
