2013 Bet 'Em IndyContest - round 1 St. Petersburg

Hi, folks! Welcome to the second season of the Bet 'Em IndyContest. I can't promess that I'll run it the whole year, or that I will accept over 8 entries per round (11 at Indianapolis). In an hour it's uni classes and I need to take a shower, so I'll type quickly.

As promised, I'll introduce two new bets for manufacturers. The 8 bets for St. Petersburg round 1 are:

o- Polesitter ($ 300)

o- Podium ($ 300)
o- Top 5 ($ 100)
o- Top 10 ($ 30)
o- Pole manufacturer ($ 30)
o- Winning manufacturer ($ 100)

As usual, you must pick six different drivers and two different manufacturers.

The stakes for St. Petersburg are:

o- 3 to 1: Dixon, Franchitti, Hunter-Reay, Castroneves, Power.
o- 6 to 1: Bourdais, Hinchcliffe, Kanaan, Pagenaud.
o- 15 to 1: Rahal, Kimball, Hildebrand, ServiÃ*.
o- 30 to 1: Andretti, De Silvestro, Justin Wilson.
o- 60 to 1: Newgarden, Sato, Tagliani, Viso, Saavedra, Vautier.
o- 100 to 1: Rest of the grid (Jakes, Carpenter, Stefan Wilson or whatever, it's a single option).

If you place your bets after the qualifying start, you will only get half the earnings. Have fun!

I'm sorry that I didn't posted the stakes for the manufacturers. Let's settle for 3 to 1 for both Honda and Chevrolet, ok? Also, since Xpunk didn't fix the bets, I'll change the lowest bet, polesitter, for Honda.

Xpunk75 got $ 900 for pikcing Power as polesitter. Marcostraz chose Hinchcliffe for the Fast Six and got $ 600. Nobody picked Hinchcliffe for the win. Beetle cashed $ 1,800 for picking Hinchcliffe for the podium, whereas Xpunk75 got $ 90 for choosing Castroneves for the podium. Mythoughtareracing earned $ 300 for picking Dixon for the top 5. Five betters earned money for picking a top 10 finisher.

Here's the results of round 1 St Petersburg:

4th - Mythoughtsareracing: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 300 + 900 + 0 + 300 = $ 1,500
5th - Eizox: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 900 + 0 + 300 = $ 1,200
6th - WAT: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 300 = $ 300
7th - NaBUru38: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 90 + 0 = $ 90

Beetle narrowly beat Xpunk75, a 2013 rookie. Marcostraz, Mythoughtsareracing and Eizox completed the top 5. WAT and especially NaBUru38 had a very poor weekend.

I'm exhausted, 8 bets is too much. For round 2 I'll reduce the selection to 6. Pole is out, but I'm not sure whether to remove top 5 or winning engine. What would you prefer?

I prefer you cut the two manufacturers bets, because they are not a choice, but they depend from what I choose before with pole and winning driver...
