Caterham Graduates - a few Q's

Hi,

I hope this is the right place to post these questions; I am investigating the Caterham Graduates race series as a relatively cheap entry into motorsport.

Does anybody compete in this championship?
I have read all I an find on it but I'm still keen to speak to somebody actually in the series. For instance, all the cars seem to tbe sponsored up, do they help with race fees or anything? Or is that just part of the rules?

If anybody on here is in this race series I would love to speak to them and pick their brains. Sorry, but I thought this would be the best place to look :-)

thanks,
Martin

Martin - I am sure someone will move this to the National and Club forum for you.

http://www.graduates.org.uk/ is the website of the Caterham Graduates Racing Club and Graeme Smith (graeme round these parts) is basically Mr Graduates.

Ooh - hello! I compete in the championship (and am chairman of Caterham Graduates Racing Club). The sponsorship on all the cars helps pay for trophies, the driver's facility, the free technical support, etc. So drivers don't get anything financial from it, but otherwise the series entry fee would probably be double what it is.

If you want to chat about the series, drop me an email at chairman@graduates.org.uk or give me a call in the evening on 01625613708. Or come along to one of our rounds - http://www.graduates.org.uk/2005/2005_calendar.htm - I'm sure I can drop you a ticket.

Forgot to say - still plenty of space on the car for personal sponsors (if you can find them...)
