Ford Falcon/Mustang brake caliper?
Hi Guys, i was at the Masters test day last week and there were a few Falcons about, am i right in saying the correct brake caliper is also fitted to the Mustang, does it fit anything else?
We have decided Lotus Cortina will be worth a go, so production of a new backing plate etc will be needed. But not sure on the Falcon jobbie. Any input appreciated. Thanks |

Falcon & Mustang use the same four pot caliper, though Shelby's and 'others' use a larger version of the Kelsey Hayes. As you may know, a lot of AppK Mustangs and Falcons use modified Porsche 911 pads (just like they did in the '60's!!)
I use the 'standard' four pot calipers and standard size pads - may be interested if you start doing them. |

Also pre -73 Mopar A-bodies (Dart, Valiant, Barracuda) use the same KH caliper.

It's just pads I would be looking to get manufactured. CL will produce anything I think worth doing, but then we need to see a few move.
Appreciate the info. |
