Promotion for British Grand Prix 1974
Does anyone have memories or documentation on a promotional event held before the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch in 1974? This was held at the Oval cricket ground and presumably was a few days before practice started. I distinctly remember Ronnie Peterson and Jacky Ickx looking very smart in JPS blazers, things would change somewhat when James Hunt adopted a somewhat different dress code.
Were other F1 drivers there, and was Chris Witty the compere - or was this before his time as an Autosport reporter? |

Yes, I remember that. It was interesting to see how those from non cricket nations held the bat! I'm sure there's some film of it somewhere.
