Oh yeah, you mean the Coopers and Lybrand Commodore with the famous glowing discs running off at turn 1.

No, Zinger's right; Skaife and Brock had an off at EC in 96 during heat 2. Skaife's car was badly damaged, so he had to run the team's other car at Sandown. The team was running without a sponsor at this stage, and the repair hurt the team's budget and ate into testing/preparation time. With both cars fixed, Skaife and Jim Richards were entered for round 3 at Bathurst. Richards snotted the wall during practice, setting the team even further back financially - even though SEGA had been signed by that point - and GMS was cut back to a one-car team for the rest of the year.
