We dont know, the organizers published a first Preview ( see ) with Lavaggi, Strakka and so on :-(

I think somebody was afraid of collision with Silver Cup cars, like Clio and FIAT 500 :-| , and others could not find fund (drivers...) for the race

Wolfgang Kaufmann confirms withdraw reasons:

Just as 2008, Wolfgang Kaufmann had the 6h of Vallelunga on his calendar this year. The sportscar professional from Germany was to run in the Gold Cup again with the LM P1 car of Monegasque owner/driver/constructor Giovanni Lavaggi. Due to a lack of starters, the organisers decided to merge the GT & sportscar "Gold Cup" race with the "Silver Cup" for touringcars.

"Vallelunga is a very fast circuit with some blind sections. I really was looking forward to doing this race at Vallelunga with Giovanni; after all, we where on the pole and won our class in 2008. This year we wanted the overall victory, and Scuderia Lavaggi has worked for this very hard. Giovanni and his team deserved it so much. They spend so much effort, power and lifeblood, they are always motivated and fantastic folks.”

But the difference in speed between an LM P1 prototype and a significantly slower touringcar poses an enormour safety risk, and has led Scuderia Lavaggi to withdraw their entry.

So its a Scuderia GT3 Rossi will be driving in, hope he enjoys himself, should bring some good publicity for the race.

Another vote for a Racing Box win.

- Racing Box with Pirelli tyres (last week A. Piccini tested Acura/Michelin)
- Andrea Bertolini is not here (he's arriving in the afternoon)
- Valentino Rossi is here, but still no drive

As the race is just about to start:
Is there any source for a live-timing or a video-stream as last year?

Congrats to Racing Box for the win! I am slightly confused, what happened to the Kessel Ferrari of Rossi, I saw a pic of it with flames coming out the back of it and not just the exhaust either!

GDL apparently ran an ex-Prospeed FIA-GT2 car rather than their usual GT3. Any idea if it was #60 or #61?

The livery looked similar, but as far as im aware both of last years Prospeed cars were used this year by Prospeed aswell, last years 61 being 60 this year and last years 60 being 61(also ran by Rudi in the LMS and Spa 24 in 2007) this year.

Since the FIA season had already ended when this GDL car appeared (they ran a GT3 during the Italian GT season), I figured Prospeed could have sold off at least one of the chassis. 2 years is enough...
