I've seen an interview with Walker where he says he will go to Le Mans this year. It was a shame he didn't get a spot last year but you could understand it given his relative inexperience/finance. I think he will be really quick around La Sarthe.

Well, I guess Loeb Racing might be fielding one of the LMPCs in the ELMS with Sarah Bovy as the driver.

murphy prototypes info.

"Prototypes Murphy is also a specialist in CFD, the team will work in partnership with Dell Computers on chassis development throughout the season" I wonder what chassis would that be.

Do GTCs get auto-invites for anything? That would make a big difference.

I thought P2 bodywork was homologated for the season.

Two bodywork homologations, one for Le Mans one for the rest of the season. That doesn't stop them testing bodywork for next year in private if they have the time, money and drivers.

I'm not quite sure how this works. Can a team run their own bodywork or do they have to run whatever the car's manufacturer homologated as being cost-capped?

They could talk to the manufacturer about re-homologating a couple of chassis in their own name and then continue development if everything stays under the cost cap for the price of the car.

The reports seem to suggest they're looking to do just that:

Sorry if I've somehow missed this but this is news to me courtesy of Autosport magazine today.

Nicolas Minassian and Stephane Sarrazin are set to join Loeb Racing for their ELMS campaign this year alongside Nicolas Marroc.

They are in negotiations and apparently the deal hinges on a sponsorship deal which could apparently be concluded as early as this week.

Surely that propels them to resounding title favourites given the Oreca-Nissan package! Would be great to see this team continue to grow. It's not like they will ever have trouble getting a Le Mans entry and it is a team you'd like to think sponsors would want to be associated with.

Loeb's team aren't doing Le Mans, so perhaps no reason why he couldn't dovetail an ELMS programme with them alongside the Starworks drive?-
It puts Sarrazin in an interesting situation of being able to directly compare the Oreca-Nissan and HPD LMP2 packages though...

...and as Simmi said, the Sarrazin/Minassian/Marroc combination, puts Loeb firmly in the frame as probable ELMS frontrunners....

The basic livery looks a lot like the Pekaracing Corvette, but with red replacing the yellow.

that's correct.

I helped the team with the designs, and they wanted the PK Carsport design on all their cars.

That team seems to be quite confused!

Are ELMS GTC cars running spec tires or what?

As you say, probably a typo- unless they've entered last year's Lola as a contingency against not being able to get the Oreca back from Sebring and prepped in time? (or do they have a spare chassis?)

A couple of changes of race number on that list (think Jota and JMW are both using their Le Mans race numbers rather than the originally announced ones?), and still waiting on the announcement of the FLM entries...

No drivers listed either, although they were on the original 'full-season' list.

...and no sign of the Guess Racing Lolas, though somehow that doesn't come as a surprise....I can't shake off the suspicion that their presence as 'reserves' on the originally-released full-season list owed less to any prospect of an oversubscribed entry and more to a lack of faith that they'd ever show up if they were given entries...
