I thought the race will be on motors.tv

so no tv coverage at all? what about the rest of the season?

"Motors TV will show all the races live. To this can be added live streaming in partnership with Dailymotion (link on the site www.europeanlemansseries.com )"

It is going to be on Motors, albeit not for the whole race.

Interesting to see the early pace of the teams. Murphy straight to the top courtesy of Warren Hughes. Problems for Boutsen Ginion which has caught fire.

EDIT: Not a pretty sight - https://twitter.com/#!/dsceuroeditor...700864/photo/1

EDIT: And thinking further, if that was the case it would seriously hamper quite a few drivers (and their teams) who have signed up to both series. Loeb Racing is the one which immediately springs to mind with Sarrazin/Minassian both double booked for Spa.

Some teams like Pecom were planning to run both. Could you score points towards both series?

Lots of big questions and scrambling if the rumours are true!
DSC are suggesting in their report that Donington is definitely on- apparently Donington's MD has been at Ricard this weekend to meet with Patrick Peter, and the deal for the race is signed and sealed.

Zolder still seems to be open to question- apparently team managers and ELMS organisers are meeting this evening, and an announcement is hoped for this weekend...

As you suggest, incorporating the LMS grid into Spa might not be the answer either- DSC have apparently spoken to a number of teams, and it poses a problem for some, particularly those who are running WEC and ELMS with the same cars, and have contractual obligations with different drivers for each series...(I'm guessing these might include OAK and AF Corse?)
On the other hand, a number of drivers (according to an interview with Jonny Cocker) are in favour of the idea...

It's a really tricky situation. I was glad to see yesterday that the Donington round seems to have been green-lit.

I can certainly see why someone like Cocker would want to be mixing it up with the WEC teams and race in that shop window as much as possible. For other teams it would mean huge complications. I don't think the ELMS is beyond saving this season if the series can attract a few additional entries in the GT ranks. Beyond this season I'm not sure.

Kinda puts some to shame , considering they just got the car , and others are now in their 2nd year .

TDS on pole , nice one . Not surprised about Melo either .

During the ELMS preview on RLM, Graham or John seemed to have mentioned that Jetalliance was no more. Can't remember the reason though.

Shame about the small field because the ELMS have put in far more effort with their website compared to the WEC.

http://www.europeanlemansseries.com/...01p01_home.php

A video stream that actually works and a good timing screen as well.

Is Loeb there at the track after he retired from the Portuguese rally the other day?

Also what is the #11 Race Performance car doing holding up the Greaves car for so long?

Seems Zolder is gone and Donington is confirmed. Nothing planned to replace Zolder as yet.
Now, can concentrate only on N24 that weekend!

I have had some involvement in the process. The main setback was Hankook leaving sportscar racing. You should have seen the proposed designs for a Hankook JAR Lola LMP2 coupe

After that they were always chasing behind the curve...

Ha! Lausitz was also one of the last ever races of the old FIA SCC...8 car field or so on the DTM weekend back in 2003(?).

And they say history doesn't repeat itself...

So interestingly that puts Status to the top of the LMP reserve list for LM by default. Don't necessarily want to see anyone pull out but on the evidence of this weekend they would be a very good addition.

Especially if they could stick in Erdos alongside Sims/Buurmann. Not sure if that would work out in terms of the driver ratings.

Absolutely concur that on the basis of their showing at Paul Ricard Status would very much warrant a place at Le Mans. While no question Tommy Erdos would add a degree of icing on that, I didn't think Stirling disgraced himself. Okay, he's not the fastest of the 'third' drivers out there (but there's a degree of gamesmanship in there) but his times weren't way off through the decent amount of time he drove. Give him a bit more time behind the wheel and a degree of sorting of the Status package and I suspect he'll fit right in to the LMP2 amateur field.
