Chalk up one more NEW record for Scott in Guernsey

Scott has done it again ! A new outright record in Guernsey.

Grovesy won the first NME round breaking the outright hill record. Also he was the first person to climb les Vals de Terres in under 29 seconds.

Scott took the second round lowering the new Groves record !

Simon Durling had gear selection problems, possibly a broken gear which meant he was not able to post a fast enough time to qualify for either of the rounds.

Basil Pitt got into the first run off.

Nick Saunders (Guernseyman) got into both run off's in his newly purchased Ex Nick Skidmore Reynard. He has only driven the car once at the Guernsey sprint & he only did 2 runs before todays NAtional event!

Guernseyman Glen Tanquerel in his Jedi got into the 2nd run off as did one of the Dangerous Brothers (Ian le Messurier) in their home built LEMTECH DB03, Jason King also got into the 2nd run off in his Ford PRS.

Colin Le Maitre had an engine let go BIG time. This obvioulsy put Colin out of the event but thankfully the oil etc. that was spilt did not affect the hill.

Phil Cooke & Trevor Willis were both impressive on the hill setting some good times. I THINK they got into the run off's.

Moose finished 3rd in the 1st run off but spun out on the 2nd damaging the car so Nil pointes there.

I often think being a Moose-fan waiting for the first win is a bit like breeding Giant Pandas in captivity. You've got a breeding pair, 10 tonnes of Bamboo, the enlosure's been climate controlled, you've closed the area to the public, even bought the little blighters a couple of bottles of Chardonnay & a Barry White album.

They make all the right signals but somehow it never quite happens...

Animal Farm

Moose, Goose, Panda's,

what is with all this swaning around.

Who will Moose backup.........Scott or Martin.

Mr Young will carry a camera at Shelsley, need to get a run from Mr Merrick. Then we have all the top 10 onboard.

+ 2 outright records + Simon Durlings win + a hard disk with 300gb of video that's burnt in the sun.

14 points apart. 110 available.

It's a good season, isn't it? We went in thinking it might be a walkover, but we're treated to a several drivers at the top of their game and a number of others capable of stepping up on occasions. We can't even get upset about the same driver taking lots of wins because Grovesy is having to earn every one of them with some superlative displays, and is pretty humble about it too. There seem to be a lot of personal bests going on this year too.

Moose, corry to hear of your continuing trials and tribulations, but we're all confident that the ability is there and will result in some success fairly soon. We'll all be cheering when it happens, so keep at it. Love the analogy, though, b1ackcr0w.

Well Moose, it seems that the win wasn't coming even with those words of encouragement at Guernsey. However I am quite grateful for the amount of exrcise you made me do during the last run off! It seemed to entertain the spectators. I must say also what a lovely Island you have. Just remember it's only once in a blue moon that you get your own 'Tyre *****'.
Also I must say congratulations to Scott for breaking the record.

Good video,

It looks like the moose is up until Terres house as well so does that mean the record could go even lower!
