This really is an excellent showing of opposition to the Soudine, perhaps they will just slither back into the void they originally came from!
The article is apparently,a little misguided as the Circuit license has been granted until 2026 but has been temporarily suspended, not 'until 2026' Wonder if Donington would get the same support.? Last edited by terence; 26 Oct 2009 at 17:09. |

I will absolutely be signing. These people are probably the type who watch TV so that they can complain about what they were offended by.

It would get my signature seeing as Spa trips are a bit out of my range.

But there are at least three more signatures on there than might otherwise have been the case. |

Er, I'm not sure what comes after thritto, but I signed it as well. And I've waffled about it on Facebook too, so hopefully a few more motorsport enthusiasts will add their name.

The people involved in Belgium,DO actually care about what happens with local economies, and the RAC de Spa,also have some very influential people on the board.
Dont worry about not doing Spa,it WILL be there for a while yet. |

Having only managed 4 laps in practice at the Summer Classic, I'd kind of like to go back and have another go.... |

Having spent the best part of last week over there,it would seem that the locals are very up-beat about the 'Soudine' starting to get a little worried about what they have started!

Who is/are this "Soudine"?
Apart from merely an opposition group to Spa? Are they mentioned on the 'Net? A Google for "Soudine Spa" just brings you back to this thread. John |

Sourdine are a bunch of not so very local locals (all people who moved in afterwards, lots of them even foreigners). Their main man is the guy who started all the troubles at Brussels airport, a few years back he moved to Francorchamps.
It is only a very small group, in total there are about 60 of them. The local mayor, businesses and shops are dead against them as well as the track brings heaps more revenue as those 60 or so sods. |
