who didn't bother watching Hungary???

I, for the first time in 6 seasons, didn't even bother getting up or recording the race from hungary.
Lets face it, its pretty dull stuff at that track most years. Ferrai have such a performance advantage that all that ever gets discussed on this forum is how to neuter them or conversly JPM vs Rafe or similar trash

Did any other members voluntarily not watch this or any other F1 race recently?

My thoughts on this are in the other thread as to whether the track should stay. I think we almost all know that it shouldn't, and needs a serious redesign (but PLEASE not from the guy who butchered Hockenheim) in order to make it a good advert for F1

I've taped it. Is it really worth watching (particularly as I'm a Nick fan, and he had a **** race!)?

I'm in the happy position of having Silverstone a 10 minute drive down the road. Given the choice between James Allen going loco over a Hungaroring procession, and an afternoon on Copse corner enjoying Formula 5000 and lots of classic Touring Cars, I had a tough decision on my hands.

I chose trackside. I deliberated over it for about - oooh - .05 of a second?

I recorded the highlights programme last night, but in all honesty, I haven't bothered to check if the tape worked yet. The Road America race was good, though.

Hungary wasn't as bad as Hockenheim was. Generally, most F1 races are boring this year. Maybe Ferrari should start 1 lap behind.

Lucky you Tim...

I got up (8:00am local time), watched the start of the race and about 30 laps of it, then began to drift off and fell asleep for a bit. Woke up, went back to bed, turned the TV in my room to the race, and I remember being woken up by the Brazilian national anthem.

It's just not worth it anymore... I haven't watched an entire race since the Canadian GP, which I went too...and if I could get my money back from that, I would!

Luckily I'll be at the Cart race next weekend...might see some racing.

I was out for the start of the race, but got in to watch the final half. Or at least the TV was on in the background, but I wasn't really paying any attention to it, there didn't seem to be anything of interest to watch.

I must be insane not to watch the races!

What i did was every race weekends, i would make sure to finish early at work, pick up my kids very early and take my family out for dinner and lock myself in the bedroom (2nd tv in there) so that there would be no inteference at all....over here the live feed would be at 7:45pm.

Loving every race...especially since Ferrari are dominating

Manoz - don't watch it...its not worth it, for the first time ever, I switched off. Dad was asleep by lap 10. Kimi passing JPM was reasonable, but JPM's car was already broken. Nothing worth watching really.

I saw it live - the only fun part was seeing Kimi bully past Pablo. But beyond that, it was pretty ordinary. Ill probably still tune in each time though - I hate Hungary and Barcelona - but Im addicted to F1 so I always end up wathing the races, regardless!

I was at the ALMS race watching the Speed World Challenge Touring Cars while that pre-ordained parade was happening. Someone announced the results in the pressroom where the conversation went thus:

"They let Rubens win?"

"Rubens won fair and square on his own."

"Yeah, and he did the same in Austria, didn't he?"

Then we turned our attention back to the track, where Charles Espenlaub had just burst into flames.

Only two differences:
1) Woke up at 6:00am
2) I taped it

I think the last full GP I saw was the Malaysian GP. I haven't seen an F1 car on my TV since I watched ten minutes of the European GP. And I have never, ever followed any coverage to do with the Hungarian GP. Bet you're jealous aren't you?

Poor Charles wasn't laughing. He smashed his car up the day before too.

But watching touring cars slide through the dirt all the way down the front straight was much more interesting than a pre-ordained WWF-1 race. And afterwards I got to talk to the winners!

Seriously, they were actually broadcasting some of it on CBS and it looked pretty good...I later changed the channel to the Champ car race, but still neat stuff.

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
Actually, I was hoping something would happen to some of the mid field cars to slow them down for the two Minardis to pick them off. But when Davidson went off, I decided I'd had enough, went to the computer to check the final placings on F1-Live, (we were on a delayed telecast) then went to bed. Still, it wasn't as boring as I had thought it would be, but only because the two McLarens qualified badly and had to make up a lot of places to score points. In all honesty, it was no more boring than the other F1 races for most of this year.

I watched, only because i had nothing better to do that late on a Sunday night.

I didn't bother with Hockenheim all those weeks ago though, the World Superbikes were on from Brands Hatch, much more entertaining.
