Well Done to Gary. The best driver all season, but that guy Timo Glock looks mega-quick. Was he the BMW ADAC champion last year? Anyway, I think he'll be a major title contender next year.

I've seen Gary race since he was a Cadet karter, nice to see these lads getting the backing to back up their determination to succeed to the top level of single seater racing.

Gary is quoted as saying in Motorsport News that the German F3 series is the most competitive F3 Championship...Would Robbie Kerr and Co agree with that?

Sorry Gary but whenever drivers from the British series take on the European drivers in FIA Euro Cup events they usually walk away with them!

Well, most say that, but I don't agree. I think German F3 is more competetive than British F3.

Possibly this year may have been a little different , but even this year , there has been plenty of talent in there.

I´´d say that german and british f3 are equal! The reason why british f3 looks better in the eurocup is, that the front runners of german f3 don´´t take part in this races! Look at Zandvoort: Paffett and Glock weren´t there, but drivers from the middle or even the back of the field! With Gary and Timo being there it wouldnt be that easy!

The main problem of "German" front-runners in international races is that they use an Opel engine, which isn't as good as the Mugen/Honda or the Renault.

honda is stronger than opel that´s definately true, but I dont think that renault is better than opel, last year gary had an renault engine at the beginning of the season when he changed to opel he was much better

This year's Renault engine was very good... look at the results of Zandvoort Masters :

1. Carbone (Dallara-Renault)
2. Pla (Dallara-Renault)
3. Gommendy (Dallara-Renault)
4. Kovalainen (Dallara-Renault)

5. Bremer (Dallara-Mugen)
6. Besson (Dallara-Renault)
7. Kerr (Dallara-Mugen)
8. Liuzzi (Dallara-Opel)
9. Jouanny (Dallara-Mugen)
10. James Courtney (Dallara-Mugen)

gary paffet

Gary's problems last year were suspension related and not engine. But he gave Renault their first win in the German series.
