Jean-Pierre Beltoise

I will never forget that heroic underdog victory in the rain-soaked Monaco GP in 1972. Only win for the diminutive frenchman, last win for BRM.
He died after suffering two strokes this past week at the age of 77.

RIP, JP.

May not have been amongst the best of his era, but that competent drive showed that he was no slouch. Now he can join his brother-in-law Cevert in heaven.

RIP

He gave me much pleasure as did the BRMs. He was part of an epic era of the sport; and came through it where many of his colleagues perished. RIP Jean-Pierre Beltoise.
