LucaBadoer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Erm, sort of. The feature race will be shown live, with the sprint race shown delayed. It's to do with the timetable changes for next season (IIRC, Race 1 9am; Race 2 1pm). Not impressed. You'd have thought Sky Sports have enough channels to show a half hour race live, but it seems not.

I've emailed Sky Sports, but no reply as yet.

Thats right. It will be a shame if they cant show them both live, but I guess a delayed sprint race is better than nothing. From a trackside spectators point of view this new timetable is alot better, as long as theres plenty to keep people entertained between the races. Im sure one of the reasons it was done was also to allow teams more time to fix any car problems from the sprint race.

As an aside I cant wait for the new season to start now, new drivers a new team or two also it seems and a great mixture of racetracks.

Is that local time? If so 9am sounds a bit early for spectators at the track? As events are all over the world the time live on Sky could be any hour of the day or night.

All qualifying sessions and Feature races are live on Sky Sports

Date Venue Races/Qualifying Channel/Time
2006
Sep 30 Netherlands Qualifying 1pm, Sky Sports 3
Oct 1 Netherlands Feature race 1pm, Sky Sports 3
Oct 7 Czech Republic Qualifying (delayed) 5.30pm, Sky Sports 2
Oct 8 Czech Republic Feature 1pm, Sky Sports Xtra
Given that these appear to be programme start times I suspect that the Sprint race would be around 10am, with the Feature race starting at 2pm.

A huge shame. One of those odd occasions where I'm disappointed to be proved right. http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...nt#post1637107

On the A1 website, they list Speed for TV coverage in the US.

Does anyone know if there any truth to this? and does it include Speed Canada?

I'm pretty sure it does Red Bull but not all the races and of course they're way-delayed, like some sort of filler for them. Haven't seen Speed's schedule for this year but perhaps coverage will improve.....but then again, it ain't NASCAR.

Just checking through my Sky channels here in Ireland and it seems the Irish station RTE2 is showing round two live on Sunday starting at 13.55.

I dont know if you guys in the UK/Europe can get RTE free(I hope you can)

Hopefully it will get a bit more interest in the Irish team.

The key part for those in the UK is in this section In addition Sky Sports UK has agreed to allow a delayed race broadcast to be made available on terrestrial television.
What it doesn't say is that Sky insisted that any terrestrial broadcaster would not only have to pay A1GP, but also pay Sky, and that they wouldn't be allowed to show anything until the night of the Wednesday following the race weekend.

Hmmm, no wonder I couldn't find any highlights listed for the UK then!
Anyone know where I can view highlights/entire races online? Preferably in English!

Many thanks

For those of you who have internet access you can watch A1 GP live by visiting http://viidoo.com/en/index.php downloading the TVV networks software and tuning into Star Sports. (ESPN Hong Kong I think)

I watched qulifying live and the races live plus it also carried F1.

There are also a load of other channels free to watch so it's worth a try.

Hope this helps

That's what, only a couple of months behind? Not bad for SPEED and a non-NASCAR event.

I hope that's true! Was almost considering selling out to Sky...

Edit: it is indeed true. Zandvoort highlights are 5-6am on 2nd November. Better than nothing just about!
