Watkins Lecture

Surprised that there's been no comment on this year's Watkins Lecture. For me, and those I spoke to afterwards, it was one of the best yet. Ron was very forthcoming, amusing and informative - sure, it wasn't particularly relevent to motorsport safety but it was fascinating to hear his management style and philosophy.
If or when he retires from McLaren, he could make a nice retirement job out of running motivational/management courses.
Any others happy that they made the effort to go?

Absolutely! I havent had much opportunity to make comment due to illness but I found him (RD) to be very human, hard line and humble in one package. Awesome combination if you think about it really. A nice bloke I wouldnt want to get on the wrong side of.

excellent hour! So much better than the poison dwarf. Well done to Muddly Talker too. He pitched the questions just about right...unless I'm very much mistaken....

I too enjoyed it and chuckled at his reference to "Ron Speak" at the beginning

Over the years I've been to most of these events, and in my opinion this was one of the best. I particularly liked the way he took the mickey out of Fuddly Talker as well as Donington.
