Well, should Checa manage to win here it would be truly special. But you have to guess that the Aprilia boys will be quick along with BMW and Kawi. I can't see Rea factoring into this one.

Have Kawi replaced Lascorz?

BMW, Aprilia and Sykes! Horsepower! I guess my question is then, can BMW make a race tire last the distance? Hoping Sykes can pull out a win.

Race 1 cancelled due to Pirelli's inability to provide tyres which can last a race in difficult conditions. Ridiculous, I hope they at least have the guts to apologise and compensate the crowd. I'm also cynical enough to wonder what Max Biaggi was telling the officials after being driven around in the safety car to check the conditions, given that he wouldn't've been able to start the race anyway.

Pretty weak really, Sykes didnt look happy when race 2 was called either... What happened to Guintoli on race 2 re-start? His team may leave the series if you read there press statement!

It was a bit of a mess wasn't it? I felt for the fans and organisers, the former having to endure the weather and the truncated racing. I still can't get my head around Sykes' pace in race 2! Incredible. What tyres was he running I wonder? He looked so dominant.

Any news on Hopper?

There have been issues surrounding the Pirelli WSB tyre from its very inception.

If you dig a little deeper than most fans tend to go, you will find issues with the quality of tyres in WSB and BSB, rememebr Shane Byrne last year at Snetterton kicking the awning in, that because the tyre almost fell apart.

Pirelli bike tyres dont have the best reputation for quality is all I will say, in comparison to Dunlop and Michelin. Bridegstone are good but only really supply GP, and even there they are very specialised.

But for me Pirelli are stretching themselves to thin with F1 too, and this is a joke, but as I say if you scratch a little under the surface you can hear voices of complaint about Pirelli stretching way back.

In thier defence though their advice was not heeded.
