Just as a point of comparissan, the last major series to use the International layout to my knowledge is the FIA GT Championship, in 2005 the pole was a 1:15.792. Now given that the cars performance has undoubtedly improved since 2005 you could expect that pole to be around a 1:13 or perhaps a 1:12. Now comparing that to the 1:10's of the A1 GP cars I would say that the A1 GP cars have a remarkably good turn of speed, around the same sort of pace as a good LMP2 car but not as fast as a LMP1.

Kebab has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
GBR just did a 1m10.2 ... perhaps they can get into the 1m09's this afternoon?

Believe the below is correct re drivers for today,....and some countries may have had more than one driver:

Germany - Christian Vietoris
Switzerland - Buemi
GBR - Kerr
France - N Prost

Prost will be racing for France. For GBR Jarvis will race at Zandvoort and Kerr will race at Brno, and Oli Turvey will also do some races.

He was at Rockingham, watching the F3 testing. I think India have a problem on their hands.

Thanks for the tips I took many shots from several locations, here is one form the disabled viewing area...

And one from the outfield at bridge...

Thanks again for the tips!!

The second test is underway, today and tomorrow.

Live timing is available through the A1GP website!

Thanks, cos. I know it's the Nations Cup and all that but I do wish they'd give drivers' names. Just guessing:

1 NZL - Jonny Reid
2 IND - Narain Karthikeyan, surely
3 NED - Jeroen Bleekemolen
4 FRA - Lapierre, or maybe Duval
5 CHN - Frankie Cheng
6 GBR - Could be either Robbie Kerr or Oli Jarvis

I see Mexico were last, which makes me smile slightly. Telmex have lost interest, so I'd guess it's the guy who's often been propping up the field in British F3 this year, Juan Pablo Garcia. Great name, but...

There was indeed. Also Edoardo Piscopo had a run in the Italy car. Apart from that your list looks pretty complete.

So putting two and two together, you come up with something like this:

Code:
Pos Team Driver Time Laps

 1. New Zealand Jonny Reid 48.102 141
 2. India Narain Kathikeyan 48.362 102
 3. Netherlands Jeroen Bleekemolen 48.373 115
 4. France Loic Duval 48.395 154
 5. China Cong Fu Cheng 48.421 93
 6. Great Britain Oliver Jarvis 48.432 85
 7. South Africa Adrian Zaugg 48.540 109
 8. Germany Christian Vietoris 48.567 94
 9. Canada James Hinchcliffe 48.570 93
10. Ireland Ralph Firman 48.688 113
11. Switzerland Neel Jani 48.742 168
12. Pakistan Adam Khan 48.765 79
13. USA Buddy Rice 48.821 130
14. Malaysia Alex Yoong 48.890 94
15. Brazil Sergio Jimenez 48.925 111
16. Italy Enrico Toccacelo 48.956 138
17. Australia Ian Dyk 49.063 139
18. Portugal Joao Urbano 49.140 123
19. Lebanon Chris Alajajian 49.180 147
20. Czech Republic Erik Janis 49.213 135
21. Indonesia Satrio Hermanto 49.221 130
22. Mexico Juan Pablo Garcia 50.288 134
I thought Joao Urbano was Brazilian, but it's quite possible he has some Portuguese heritage. At least he's a decent pedaller, even if he didn't really shine yesterday.

He's portuguese from Portugal actually! And he's a good driver, let's see how he progresses this season.

Correct Strider! I gave up trying to post it in lines....not sure if it's on the website yet though, but now you know some of who was driving....

Any reason why GBR were one of the teams who completed the fewest laps?
