Would probably have been inaugural F3000 champion but got involved in a first corner incident at the first ever meeting on Donington's extended circuit. I was spectating from just after the corner and we watched in disbelief as he went off.

NZSTfan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Haydon Paddon sitting in 10th after ss1. He's not far off 8th and 9th, but will need to improve quite a bit if he wants a sniff at top 5. Knowing how he has operated in WRC so far this year I hope he improves as the event progresses, which if past form is anything to go by, then he normally does.
Best of luck Hayden in Spain.
Sky box is armed and ready with this and the GC600

I think the Spanish mixed stages - gravel & asphalt will be a bit of lottery for punctures etc, so if Hayden can be in the top ten it will still be an ok result.

Is Taupo this weekend on the race monitor results?

Saw that to, brilliant and very well deserved result, Earl is without doubt a class act, and destined for much greater opportunities.

Doing us all proud along the way.

Possum Bourne drove for Subaru '93'94'95. Paddon is Hyundai 2014, so if the sequence continues it might 2033 before there is another Kiwi works wrc driver.
Given the numbers of cars - a NZ Super car World Rally Cross driver might be more likely.
Perhaps look at the quad racers for potential 4 wheel loose surface drivers, SVG raced quads?

i reckon. maybe we need to stop pandering to the so-called top tier in NZ motorsport, because their ego's will never allow the issues to be resolved, and concentrate on the future, as in rebuild the whole sport from the bottom up, not from the top down ?

Nick has never lacked the talent, just the money, hopefully he has more success with that, because I am sure teams would be lining up to sign him. Great to see a lot of drivers congratulating him on Twitter.

Great effort from Mitch to land his 6th podium of the year

It's Class B so wont be challenging for an overall victory, but will no doubt be one of the front runners for a class win.
