KC should be qualifying in the top 5 on the gridKC should be qualifying in the top 5 on the grid
is it the competition that drove out Goodyear? Is it just too much of a losing proposition to produce racing tires? or is the changing business climate in motor racing?

Bridgestone have announced they will withdraw from Formula 1 after the next season leaving Michelin alone to carry the load. The looks and sounds that same as the situation that happened with Goodyear. The Firestone Tire Debacle in America may have something to do with it and the subsequent losses to business and the projected losses on lawsuits concerning self-destructing road car tires. Who can truly say?

They said that the firestone issue was the main problem, but I canĀ“t tell why this can affect the tyre research and development, for me the reason was the entrnce of michelin, but the french company has a lot of testing to do, so what if bridgestone leaves and michelin is not as good as the F1 wants?.

Sick...I was just thinking of the thrilling prospect of having three tyre manufacturers for future races.

Apparently it is due to the legal action which they are facing in the main, but it is not helped by the fact that the tyres bear little resemblance to road tyres - and the company are unwilling to pour money into researching F1 tyres for the sake of it.
