Full ATCC results 1960-2015 - Can you help fill in the gaps?

Hello everyone. I've been working on a project for the last few years, which was to compile the race results and stats from every ATCC and V8 Supercar race to have them hosted in one place. It's now as complete as I can do myself and has been uploaded in full to a racing history website. If you're interested in things like this, please check it out, I think this is the only place you can find a complete database of every race, including all the drivers, track results, that sort of stuff. Pretty cool IMO.

Most of the pre-Group A was a bit harder to find info for. I managed to get my hands on some scans of the old Australian Motor Racing Yearbooks (thanks Rusty!) which was very helpful, but unfortunately, there are still some seasons that are far from being finished. 1969 and 1971 especially. The points paying finishes for every race is complete, but the idea is be far more thorough than that. The great thing about racing-reference is that you comment on each individual race, track or driver without needing to sign up or jump through any hoops, so if you have any sort of information or data to add or correct, please comment and let us know so that we can get things as accurate as possible. This has a been a one man project I've been doing in my spare time, so there's also every chance that could have made a typo here or an error there, so if you spot something like that, please correct me. The objective was to compile a complete and accurate database of the series and any help would be greatly appreciated.

And of course, have a look, go back through all the old races and hopefully relive some memories and if you were watching any of those races live or were lucky enough to be at the track, post a comment and let us know what it was like! Hopefully there are some history buffs here who will enjoy this as much as I do. Cheers

Nice work, looks really good, but didn't Triple Eight win the teams championship last year?

Yes, thanks for the correction. I've just emailed that through and it should be updated soon.

I've got a copy of Australian Touring car Championship, 25 Fabulous Years. It covers from 1960 to 1984. PM me if you need me to look anything up in it.

Also, in the group c days, they had an endurance championship which covered the long distance races including Bathurst (from memory, Amaroo Park 300, Oran Park 250, Sandown 500, Bathurst 1000, Surfers Paradise 250).

Thanks Gaz, am well aware of the Endurance Championship and the various non-points events over the years. Work on all that is already in progress and will hopefully one day be complete and thorough.

They updated the book 'Australian Touring car Championship, 25 Fabulous Years' to 'Australian Touring car Championship, 50 Fabulous Years' recently. It now covers all ATCC results up to 2010.
The other source would be the various year books. The early ones covered all categories. Various years pop up on ebay from time to time.
The more expensive and frustrating route would be to buy the weekly motorsport mags of the era off ebay since they were written at the time so theoretically, more accurate.
Good luck!

There was another one in the middle too, "30 Fabulous Years" that covered up until 1989

Thanks for sharing the website! It is so useful for non-Australian fans. Thank God internet exists...
