mystery racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think they'll go for at least one top draw name to develop the car with one of the other seats going to a new up and coming driver... As far as I know, I'm sure they said there would be no Chinese drivers this year (is there anyone suitable at the moment?), but that they would introduce them to the team over a period of a few years.

Well, the only drives available left are Brilliance, maybe one Seat and maybe one Ford. In 2006 Honda and Peugeot.

Once I've heard from my pal, that Tom Coronel is Carly's main sponsor...that's how Paulien Zwart got seat in second car. Maybe WTCC is too expensive for him...

If they widen the field to just asian, I'm sure Farique Hairuman's looking for a drive

Coronel has a couple of Karting Centres in the Netherlands, but that can't possibly make that much money to sponsor Carly for two seats. If that would be the case, they would have let Tim race instead of Paulien Zwart. I wouldn't be suprised if the money comes from Pauliens father, Klaas Zwart, who owns his own racing track in the Spanish mountains (www.ascari.net)

BTW Ho-pin Tung was born in the Netherlands. He calls himself Chinese or Dutch when it suits him best.

Tom and Paulien are a couple. But I think she (and Tom?) got backing from her dad Klaas Zwart. He owns a Spanish circuit and the Ascari sports car company (www.ascari.net).

I was also thinking about him as a candidate for the seat.

Apparently Tarquini offered his services to Brilliance but they declined the offer last week.

Probably because he would feel better elsewhere...The source is however certain.

Motorsport News are reporting that Reid is talking to Brilliance about one seat.

Ried also considered for the, eventual, Rover MG DTM seat.

Personally, I think the car is quite ugly. The grille is very Rover like, the lights remind me to that of the Vauxhall/Opel Vectra, the rear lights look like from the Saab 93 series. The works team are expecting to have 3 Chinese drivers competing in 2006. Good luck to them!

I'm sure I read somewhere that they would be introducing the Chinese drivers over a 3 year period starting in 2006 where they will only have one chinese driver.

We wont see 3 Chinese drivers in the team until 2008.

Apparently Reid, Harvey and Leslie are the contenders for 2 of the race seats with Tom Ferrier the favourite for the 3rd.

So you read Autosport.... Tom Ferrier is one of two british 'young chargers' in the frame.
