Well that was yesterday, and guess what, there was a Rallycross event at Mondello in Ireland and nobody even bothered to bring Rallycross a cake!

Kinda sad considering the history Mondello has had as a Rallycross venue, I would have thought that something special would have been done considering it was running on EXACTLY the 40th birthday of the sport.

Oh, I'm sure there will be plenty of celebrations this year at various venues I just thought something extra-special would have been done for a rallycross event on the exact date.

The ROS are having their celebrations next weekend. The BRDA, at thier first event, Lydden on Easter Monday.
Obviously the Irish organisers have decided not to celebrate. Are any European countrys holding any special events to mark the anniversary?

The date was even mentioned in the programme so it's not as if it was some mad secret. Did nobody within the organizing club or even the people putting together the program cop-on to this?

Don’t think so... Most of the organisers ignore such things. Last year eg. I informed the Polish ERC round organiser that his event marked round no. 333 of the ERC (since 1973) and he didn’t care...
