A championship race for 2 cars for the win, with 2 races & 300 points overall up for grabs.

Mr van Gisbergen could make it his on the Saturday.
is that a closer gap than last year at the same stage?

So if JW wins both races, SVG only needs to finish 13th or better?

I have it at 16th - 57 points x 2 = 114 points

a 5th in either race will also be enough

on the assumption there are no penalties

Is that correct?

Can't both Whincup and SVG be awarded championship point penalties for driving and technical infringements?

I guess technically if SVG was to receieve 215 points of penalties and be a DNF in all races and Scotty Mac was to win. Then assuming Jamie also DNF's all races and gor a 25 point penalty it is possible.

Although i guess its possible that a technical issue cause SVG and JW to lose all the point for NZ similar to scott pye in 2014

How much desire is there to be closer to garage 1?

600 points on offer for the Teams Championship, with HRT in 2nd on 3945, GRM 3rd on 3908, and Bottle-O/Monster 4th on 3815.

How has splitting #1 and #55 gone for PRA this year, would have been outright 2nd Team on 4619 points, potential double stacking not withstanding.

I was looking at the potential garage arrangements the other night. Can't see too much changing from this year. Maybe one up/one down for some.

Will largely depend on REC shuffling though.

interesting, Giz, an pedal around and win, Jamie can go hell for leather, and not win.
But both are racers and both will want to finish on a high.

Should be a good battle,
Giz can sneak down the inside,
Jamie just dive bombs and hopes for the best

There would be more $$ wagered on Eurovision than the final round of V8 Supercars, this is pretty much a non story. And at $1.02 for SVG, any money around this market is always going to be for Whincup (@$12). Again, a non story, except for the obvious plug for UBet.

A lack of joy in motorsport. The speedcafe story is tantamount to an advertorial about sports gambling!

It seems there were 5 of us that were hopeful of an amazing showdown...
And we got something the same, yet totally different!

Teams Championship is still in play

WP is fighting GRM for 2nd..
