Holdens, Fords, Holdens, Fords........
I will get off the fence, when ONE of these two decides to build a car with some originality. *stomps foot* |

Ford tried that with the AU. They sold one car in 4 years. A black wagon, that has now been bought by Alan Jones.

Your OK Colin, a good number two driver - at least you support the right football team.

Out at QR for the 500 they had the new Turbo XR6 Barra, a couple of VYs, and a new Camry. Didn't get to see the Barra, as the crowd was 10 deep around it all weekend. The Commodores? Shyte. The Camry- not too bad, especially next to the Commodore..

I was down in Melbourne during the week and saw a heap (the collective of Fords is a heap) of BA Falcons driving around near Broadmeadows.
I got up the road and there was one on the side of the road with the bonnet up! |

I've got to say I'm really starting to warm to the Barra Falcon specs. I've always been a "who gives a **** about Fords & Holdens?" type of guy.
But the more I hear about the new Ford, I am impressed. I saw a shot of the new interiors on the Ford - wow! Ford have always had the handling and steering prowess over Holden, now they may have the neddies to get near them, possibly even blow 'em away. |

Having driven both in the last week (And as much as it pains me to say it) The BA is a better car than the VY.
OOOhhhhhh the shame |

I saw a Blue BA today and it looks , well, a lot more promising than the AU visually for sure, LOL. The dash looks nothing like I expected but I think they could be on a winner. Nice interior but what amazed me was the flock of Dominellis mechanics who swamped me when I started checking it out in the workshop. Expecting to be told to take a flying leap back outside, instead they all wanted to tell me how much THEY liked it.Seems they're all more than a little excited by their first drives as well Bondy.Go Henry!!

Hmmm, I had a SR Series 3 for the day today Col and they aren't exactly slumming it so if the improvement is as vast as I've been led to believe, they must be REALLY good!!
The price for a new SR is very attractive at the moment and the base model Forte has that many extras its bleedin ridiculous. Can't wait to have a drive of one myself. I'll have to dream up some complaint before warranty runs out so I can get a BA courtesy car. |

Well AJ, as you know I just took possession of a new AUIII SR. Like Mac, I could'nt care less for Fords or Holdens, but when the SR was put next to the VX, it was an easy choice.
Now all I have to do is convince work it needs replacing with the new XR6 240kw Turbo |

I had my first drive of a BA today. Being a Ford fan I loved it. The improvement over the AU is amazing. The power was brilliant (makes my XR6 look sad now). The blokes from holden came and had a look and were impressed. The interiors of both the falcon and the commodore are fairly similar in their design now. The seats in the Falcon were very comfortable and it was only the XT model that i drove. I cant wait for the XR to come.

Had my first up close look of a BA today. I sat in it and immediately thought, "uhuh, this is the business". It felt and looked really good.
