British Rally Championship - 2016
Seeing as it is being re-launched for 2016, we may as well start a thread. Let's hope its a bit more popular than the WRC thread, which has died a death.
Round 1 - The Mid Wales Stages starts tonight with 2 stages in Hafren/ Sweetlamb & Myherin; contines tomorrow with 4 more stages - but only 70 stage miles. Seems like 15-20 R5 cars - so well done to all!! |

Have to say I'm really looking forward to seeing how this years Championship unfolds. Opting for R5 class cars and the point scoring class has already produced some excellent battles in Ireland, I hope we see the same over here.
The only real negative thus far is the lack of rounds in the South of England: though that isn't really the fault of the Championship! |

The series needs a round in the south – sadly events like the Sunseeker have gone.
As for the weekends action, reaction from everybody seems to be positive – though saying that, apart from the dedicated rally forums, it’s bypassed the general motorsport fans by. |

The Mid Wales Stages was a fantastic event - Myherin/Pikes Peak is just one of the best stages in the world to drive or spectate on! Massively impressed with the quality of entry, and great to see Ahlin pushing Evans all the way. Got some photos up at https://www.flickr.com/photos/140835...57663339861234 if anyone wants a peek at the snowy conditions!

Nice photos
The BRC does seem to be in rude health at the moment - just a shame there's no round in the south. |

Agreed - being a fellow southerner, unbelievably the Mid Wales Stages is probably still the closest BRC round to me despite being a 7 hour drive away! Well worth it on this occasion though. |

Great drive from Breen and a damn shame that Evans couldn't challenge for the whole rally. Quite a high rate of attrition, but to be expected from Irish tarmac! |
