Forza 4

Some new info has been released including box art and bonus cars.

http://www.virtualr.net/forza-motors...iews-new-info/

The graphics look slightly improved from FM3.

Noticed that their is a RUF listed as one of the bonus cars so does this mean that their is no more Porsche?

Hopefully some more info at E3 plus some gameplay footage.

Would definitely like some more tracks than that, I must say.

Wasn't overly impressed with the Forza 3 track list, so hopefully they'll announce a few more.

From the leaked trailer, Hochenheim, Indianapolis and Infineon as well as some made up tracks are suppose to be in the game.

jonboy1066 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I was as unimpressed with Forza3 as I was impressed with Forza2, so I just can't get excited about a FM4. I was also massively underwhelmed by GT5 so I think I'll give this and any other Forza/GT style car culture games a miss from now on and stick to racing games.

Yes, Porsches are noticeably missing this time. Last time, T10 had to license it from EA(who own all rights of Porsche as far as video games are concerned). This time, they've followed the PD way I guess. :/

Forza 3 was a fine game and there wasn't much wrong with it, unlike GT5.

The problem is the genre. It is massively tired and there is not much more that can be done with it.

Race, earn money, collect cars, repeat, dominate. It's stale. What was exciting in 1997 and held firm for the next seven or eight years is sadly old hat now.

Racing games are going back to basics in many ways. The arcade fun of Shift, Hot Pursuit etc... is far more interesting. Can't be bothered with these overly large games anymore. What I really want is a new Burnout game!

That said, I am sure Forza 4 will be excellent at what it does. A polished, smooth car porn game.

The thing I enjoy about Forza, is the online element. Its a great platform to run various league racing series and what not.

I have never played Forza single player. Its possibly the most boring thing in the world.

My brother however, who is 8, absolutely loves the idea of earning money to buy his dream cars, and then putting massive wings on them, so I leave him to do that for me

Totally agree with you there. The Career mode just feels like a grind with very little tracks variation, it quickly becomes boring. However, if the game has around 16 cars like it said in the leaked info back in April, it might be a bit less boring.

Yep, also for me any game I buy, racing or not is judged on the online element.

I just can't get excited by racing AI. Duking it out with another person for x laps is the best thing in the world. Wreckers are a PITA, but if you get someone like-minded who wants good clean racing you can't get better than that.

If FM4 turns out to be great online its definitely on my list.

The question is. How many damn versions of this will there be?

£45 for the game, then another £15 for the rest of the ''release'' cars?

That's me sold already, unless they over-kinectify it. 16 player online and the paint editor is all I need. Anything else is a bonus.

Two articles on Forza website confirming the LCE and the BMW M5 F10.

http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/LCE_ForzaMotorsport4/

http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/BMW_M5_FM4/

Plus there is a design contest for you to create a custom livery for the M5 to be included into a future DLC pack.

And we can confirm the 5th new track, alongside Sears Point, Hockenheim, Top Gear, and Indianapolis. It's the Alpine mountain circuit, with at least two configurations.

The basic course:

The long course:

I'm just hoping that they've kept the good tracks that were in Forza 3, including Fujimi Kaido, Rally di Positano, and the full Montserrat course.

Spa would be fun, as would Brno, Donington, Imola. And maybe some British ones like Croft, Oulton and Castle Combe. Won't happen though.

However, don't bother with the Nordschleife. We get it, it's long. Just move on. Please.

Spa would be awesome as would Bathurst, failing that Blue Mountains would be a welcome return .
