This weekend it's round 1 at Rafaela. They will run the 4.6 km oval with just two chicanes, where they do 220 km/h average.
Chevrolet has hired no less than Norberto Fontana as lead driver. The fourth Fiat driver is Christian Ledesma. |

Equipo YPF Chevrolet driver Norberto Fontana won on his return to the Super TC 2000 Championship, his first race since 2011, before the new Radical V8 engine regulations which came in two years ago. The former Formula 1 driver finished ahead of the fancied Peugeot 408 of Néstor Girolami, which along with team-mate AgustÃ*n Canapino, had dominated proceedings this weekend.

It was a great race, lots of action and very interesting because of the tire management. Good to see a great driver like Fontana win and I also enjoyed seeing the return of qualifying races. Hopefully the following races are as interesting and intense as this one, and really looking forward to the Buenos Aires 200km.

By the way, Chevrolet coproduced a feature action film back in 2008, called La Leyenda, with major Argentine actors. It's the story of two TC2000 drivers and an engineer (she's more attractive than David Duvall).

Franco Vivian won his first Super TC2000 race with a factory Chevrolet Cruze. The 25-year-old was runner-up at the 2010 Formula Renault and two two TC Pista races.

The champion 1999 of the TC 2000 and TC in 2005 Juan Manuel Silva won the SP10 GT4 class the last weekend in 24 hours of Nurburgring.
