The SP Sport Maxx Sprint tyre will be recognisable by a distinctive yellow marking on the wall of the tyre.
will this yellow marking be silly like the white dot F1 tried when it first introduced it's "option tyre" that is completly invisible at speed?

or will it be a complete stipe around the tyre?

I think the whole outer sidewall will be painted yellow.

So just after they stopped printing 'Dunlop' on both sides of the tyres ("to save money") they are now going to colour the whole sidewall ???

I think it more likely to be a stripe - similar to the F1's new green stripe.

They used to paint the "DUNLOP" mark on the side of the tyre with a locally made template and linemarking-type paint. Of course it would be expensive.

You would have imagined if the tyres needed this kind of marking that the manufacturing process in Japan may have included a painting process to put the brand on the sidewall

BF Goodrich always seem to be able to do it with their tyres, and the 4x4 rubber is also branded that way.

Its still scary to think that all the talk of the 'option tyre' rounds will be who is on what rubber...
