You mean like Nissan parking a race winning GT3 GTR here for 12 months without seeing much/any racing?

Nissan parking a 3 year old GTR here, is exactly like a private Australian business parking a brand new never been raced McLaren GT4

Plenty of options,tt could run in GT Trophy and GT Sprint/Endurance pending grid availability.

Throw in State Prod Sports rounds, Bathurst Motor Festival - provided the owner wants to run the car there are plenty of avenues to run it.

Crisis averted

Yep, who knows what these multi-national car manufacturers and successful race teams are thinking, but to paraphrase someone else:

Its fine anyway, because its nothing to do with you or any posters, wont change our opinion no matter what happens. Its between manufacturers and the teams to sort out

out of context again, well done

As someone who wants to view this car, im just suggesting its quite possible that we wont get to see it run apart from bathurst 12 hour

see it is something to do as us as posters. Hopefully you can see the difference

No, not really but that's nothing new when it comes to me reading your pugnacious posts.

But what I do know is that I personally wouldn't question the business and racing acumen of someone like Jonathon Webb, he seems like he has his head screwed on pretty well, and if he is paying for running a GT4 McLaren, I'd suggest it's a shot in the arm for the series and for the GT4 category. Much as I stated 6 posts ago.

No one is questioning Jonathon Webb, he doesn't own the car. Its in the story that you referred to 6 post ago

So someone else sees value/potential to buy and run a GT4 McLaren and have Tekno run it. Someone who can afford to buy a McLaren and have a top end team prep the car. Madness...

I suspect their investment is based on an understanding that

A) there will be a certain GT4 class in B12 in '17. (With AMR GT4, and Brookspeed Cayman, this makes three GT4's)

And

B) they have some assurance from Aus GT or similar there will be somewhere to run the car the rest of the season. As previously mentioned, this car is a customer car being run by Tekno. It's not about where Tekno sees fit to run its about where the customer would like to run. He may we be happy doing just Trophy Series next year, and hope for an expanded GT4 series in Aus in '18

Had fingers crossed for another safety car free 101 but sadly not. Plenty of carnage throughout but thoroughly entertaining and great to have live coverage on television in Australia and NZ.

Great strides for the category

Post produced tv coverage for Highlands Pecky.

Very interesting results. Shows what a great concept and format the Endurance Championship has been in 2016.

Some battle damage from the sprint races on Saturday put pay to a few lining up on Sunday.

Not sure what is wrong with 23 starters though?

do we know when it will be on?

I think some were damaged from Friday as well, a concerning problem for these close in succession OS rounds, some probably fixed in Australia (some were well damaged though)

Never said there was anything wrong with 23 starters, why do you ask? (and why did one five five fell the need to bring VASC into it, bit defensive I guess)
