Scottish Billy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Jersey flights

For general information I have just booked flights to Jersey on the Wednesday from Coventry for the princely sum of £1.53 with Thomsonfly. Even with charges it is still less than 20 Quid. Have to work out how to get back from Guernsey right enough!

What are the islands like as a holiday destination? Worth going to catch the hillclimb and some sun?

Tax Free Beer!

I visited Jersey about 15 years ago as a student, it seemed a nice enough place.

This might get a wider audience and better response in PF - Is there a good reason this should stay limited to Hillclimbers and Sprinters?

See if the sand racing is on (at St. Peter Port?) in between the hillclimbs.

Yes, zac, the islands are lovely. Quiet by mainland standards and very relaxing with wonderful scenery. Hill climbs and sand racing on Jersey and Guernsey. Can thoroughly recommend them for a holiday.

Hi Billy

Got the same deal outbound. Because I need to be back by a given time, I am returning from Jersey with Thomsonfly and have booked an Island Hopper with Blue Islands to get me from Guernsey to Jersey. Begins to up the cost but still less than last year returning with flyBE. Just hope everything is to schedule!

The Islanda are lovely as a holiday destination. Both have lovely beaches and are very hospitable. There is plenty to do on both Islands aswell.

It's well worth making friends with a few channel islands drivers. For Jersey, they have a system where drivers have either to do several days marshalling, or facilitate somebody else marshalling for them. I've done this in the past and it turned out to be well worth doing.

In case you haven't already booked flights etc.. they have gone up in price by loads, especially from Southampton.
Also wondering who is planning to go to Guernsey? I know myself and Mudge have said to a lot of people they may be able to stay at Mudge's house in Guernsey. His parents are now asking about numbers and seeing as we offered last season, we can't remember how many. If you let us know and we can prepare the hotel of Mudge for incomers!!
