"Double" users.

Now I'm not naming anybody, because that would only lead to trouble, but I have my suspicions that some people are hiding behind two or even more user names. Has it happened here before? It may just be a big, big coincidence? Is it even technologically possible?

It definitely is possible. I, for instance, occasionally post from work, but under the same username. I could however, if I so wished, post under one username from home, and another from work. Who could tell?

I also know of cases where more than one member of a household post in this forum. So it definitely is possible to post under at least two different usernames from the same computer. I guess it all boils down to trust.

I suspect Moffat and Ralf's girl to be the same person, antipodially challenged.

Technically it's indeed possible to post under two different usernames, but it is against the rules and will not be permitted.
There are ways to find out whoever is doing this but screening every member is not our goal and besides that it is very time consuming.
However, if you think this could cause serious problems to our community we would like to hear about this, preferably via PM or e-mail.

DNQ should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I signed up as the user 'crash' in June 2000. I used this until Dec 2000 when I got sick of it and decided to reregister as DNQ. I have not used the crash username since. Is this OK? Can someone get rid of it?
