Why dont we all buy the lexus team

Hey guys. I have had a briliant idea why dont we all put our life savings into the lexus team and have it called the Team Lexus Redshoes racing.com

No but seriously what is going on with them?

Or if that did happen, since it would be members of Ten-tenths doing this wouldn't it make more sense to call it Team Lexus Ten-Tenths.com racing ?

Really Rick, you should know that if you drive a hard bargain at the dealers you can get them to throw the mats and mud flaps in for free

Oh , are we buying brand new ? thought we could get one from the local scrap yard..Mind you VLR could point us in the right direction for a black one, one pre-owned would do just as well.Offer him a monkey..

I read somewhere earlier in the year that Lexus will be coming back into the BTCC later on this year and that the driver would be Stephen Sutcliffe who writes for Autocar magazine and did TVR Tuscans last year and the year before.

If we all chip in £5,000 each (from a student loan) we'll be well away!!! Okay, so we'd have to pay it off, but hey, at least it wouldn't have gone booze like most students!!

How much would it be to sponser????

Seriously, with the cheaper running of these cars, could a small contribution by fans get the Lexus on track for the year?

small? i think not. consider, if you will, the budget needed by a driver to compete in something like the clios, at say, £60,000. then quadruple that at least...

i've got £3.65.

I heard Richard Dean would also driver for Lexus.

Where are they?

Are they entering later in the season?

Has the project folded?

Anyone know answers to those questions?

Good point... knowing my luck, first race out, some idiot would total the car and we wouldn't be able to afford to get it repaired!!!

Wouldn't it make racing that much more interesting if they all had to do that, or do the first lap on space hoppers or something!!!

Ways to make racing more interesting:
1) Drivers to wear clown suits, with giant rubber shoes
2) Halfway through race, organisers limit everyone to reverse gear only
3) One car per race has a giant bullseye painted on the back-extra points for every hit you get
4) Weight penalties in terms of people, not wieghts. Small child, teenager, female, male, fat guy and onwards
5) In sprint race, drivers must go into the pits for the first eight laps, downing a pint of beer each lap, then sprint for next 8 laps-winner is one still on track
6) Previous winner forced to tie one hand behind back for second race
7) Gravel traps replaced with big holes
8) One person, plucked from the crowd at random gets their own tourer for a race
9) 47 Robin Reliants assemble at the back of the grid for extra overtaking mayhem
10) Phil Bennett given a 'Proton' T-34 Battle Tank

Ever played TOCA on playstation with the cheat where you can have the tank and blow the other cars off the track - great!
