decater88 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Dale Jr a 3-1 favorite in Alanta!

It would be nice, but lets face it, will he be able to hold it to the track for the whole race? Sure its a fast track, but its not like Daga or Daytona its a thinking mans fast track

Then why is the guy a 3-1 favortie, I seen the odds and those are the best of all drivers. I think the next one Stewart at 4 to one.

Who the heck makes the odds? And how can you, when all the cars are the same?

The cars are not prepared the same, different crews, different strategies, different drivers, etc not to mention different changes made to the cars during the race. Rusty used to be the master at recommending changes to the car during a race.

If I were a bookie,Dale Jr. wouldn't even make the top 5 list for Me.My odds leader would be Bobby Labonte,I also think that Jeff Gordon & Jerry Nadeau & Toni Stewart would be right up there!JMO!

Another ID Beedie???

It's not what is said--it's HOW it is said.

Well-- all you Jr naysayers better be eating your words- as he proved to be COOL HEADED on a HOT track. Not a bad finish. Considering where he started- DANG good finish!

Lannyw--- I don't think you need to be telling me "to be cool".

Jr's new found consistance will pay off in the end. He seems to have a different attitude this year. It's not all about winning the races- It's about finishing safely in the top 10 week after week. He seemed genuinly happy with his finish this week. He should be considering where he started.

Great race for Bobby too. Was good to see him thrive again. (just as long as he doesn't beat MY guys too much )

No, not a bad finish indeed, but he was far from cool in that cockpit, f'ing and blinding at his pitcrew during one yellow flag period big time.

and this isn't bait, just an obversation (besides the Mrs would hang me if I said anything again Jr!)

Yes--- I have heard from several over seas posters who get to hear the radio of the DEI cars during our commercial breaks. He was having a go at with his spotter, who suggested a different groove to travel. He more or less told them what his daddy told him--- & I suppose he can. After all- DE was the King of Atlanta- I would trust a instruction by DE.

But don't you think that alot of these guys get testy with their crew & spotters during the race???

It wasn't over the lines, it was about the waterbottle, they had moved it, and at times when he could reach it (during Yellows), the tube was blocked also.

It went something like "My daddy said if I can touch it, I'm in charge of it, but I'm not cos you changed it without telling me"

I'll upload the full audio sometime this week, at work presently.
