Viper Competition Coupes for the GTA class in both the International Open GT and associated Spanish GT Championship.

It is being hinted that they will develop a Viper for FIA GT and ACO competition for 2008 as well.

At this moment I give them little chance to run a Audi R10 next season. Maybe in 2008 or 2009.


The fact Pug enters endurance racing will make it maybe easier for "privateers" to buy or lease a R10. Better extra allies than foes....

What would be nice imo is: ORECA sell's their Saleen, their project with Saleen USA (all to ... for excemple Zakspeed) and will prepare a new Viper GTS-R GT1 car. That would make my day perfect... but indeed, i have to keep dreaming...

I think that is all of our dreams. Though running a Saleen, would give them a nice baseline as to where a new Viper would need to be.

International GT Open, it's a support series at the WTCC rounds in southern Europe (Italy, Spain and France) and a few other events in Portugal and Italy.

The first Ferrari F40 raced at Le Mans in 1994, i.e seven years after the beginning of its production. Seeing the new Viper GTR in GT1 is possible, after all.

personally i prefer that it will run next year too with a more developed saleen, and not only in the FFSA champ. or the lmes, but also in the fia gt champ., where it would find strong real competitors. Zakspedd can't do it all alone, it needs a good support.

not sure what oreca are going to do i personally think between oreca's WTCC programme with their seat leon's and an LMP1 car say audi R10 they would not be able to afford it or be clutching at straws financially but i think next year if they carry on the WTCC programme oreca will have a saleen S7R but if they finish the WTCC programme i expect to see an LMP1 or LMP2 car say either a audi R10, zytek, porsche RS spyder or one of the improved lola B05/40's to the 2007 spec with improved aerodynamics and so on?
