Rockingham CSCC, 14 October

Who's going to the Rockingham classic package on Oct 14th? I will as it's my birthday on that day.
Also, what other championships are running on that day?

As well as the CSCC races, there are events for Formula Ford 2000, Classic Clubmans and Porsche Classic. I wont be there as I am going to Thruxton on the same day!

I knew about the CF2000, and the clubmans, but I didn't know about the Porsches.

Any websites with info on the meeting? Rockingham Official site doesn't say.

Richard

Because we can only run between 10am and 5pm at Rockingham on a Sunday, official practice will be Saturday afternoon (starting at 14.30) and racing on Sunday.

Hope this suits

Oh, cheers Jos.
Is it just the saloons that practice on Sat, or everyone? If so, when will the racing start? 10am on the dot?

I think all qualifying is on the Saturday. Seems a bit daft to make it a 2 day meeting.

Good thinking Rob29. At a recent meeting with the BARC the Classic Clubmans Register brought this point up, I believe the replies were along the lines of they need to run a certain number of races for financial reasons and I believe track hire costs are not a lot more for 2 days instead of 1, however they will try to keep meetings to one day where possible. As you point out it generally costs the competitor more and usually means time off work, also we are asking a lot more of the marshals and club staff to be there for 2 days.
Support you on that one
You out at the weekend at Rockingham ???

If you want to check the weather out go to our Classic Clubmans site links page here > http://www.classic-clubmans.co.uk/links/index.html

Just found another weather site, this one provides 10 days forecasts - don't know how reliable that can be - still here it is > http://www.weather.co.uk/weather/local/UKXX1490
You're right Jos - looks like welly time - watch for those geysers popping up out of the track though... still at least we've got garages this time.

Thanks for your encouraging words Mr.H. ...bits should arrive today! The only sure thing about the weather forecast is that it'll be wrong. JVP are you doing CT & pre '90 ?
Mr.H......garages ?

YEP - great init - don't know how we managed it - someone pointed out to the BARC that we have the same setup as FF2000 in terms of slicks and ground clearance so we got to share the garages. Also we are the feature race of the day apparently, for the Star and Garter Trophy being presented by Simon Weston, which basically means we get to be almost last race. Had better fit some lights to the car

indeed it is free, take a look at the rockingham web site - www.rockingham.co.uk or latest news on the BARC website for details.
